Discussion on statehood bill begins

After almost 3 weeks of delay, the discussion on AP State Reorganization Bill has finally begun yesterday.
As the house met on Wednesday, Seemandhra MLAs and MLCs repeatedly obstructed the proceedings. Both houses were adjourned a couple of times without transacting any business.
Later, the Speakers of both houses held discussions with all party representatives to break the deadlock.
Finally, Seemandhra representatives of TDP and Congress accepted to participate in the discussion even as YSRCP members remained adamant.
Speaker Nadendla Manohar initiated the discussion in the afternoon and invited Minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar to talk.
The minister then stood up and briefly expressed his opposition to the statehood bill. The Assembly was adjourned immediately as YSRCP MLAs kept shouting slogans.
